Thank you

I just want to start off by saying thanks to my new blogging friends for stopping by and leaving comments. I have been reading everyone's blog who is on my brothers blogroll since our Emma was diagnosed. I know I will never know what it is like to live with Diabetes but getting to read your stories and experiences gives me, I think more of an understanding. Thank you to all of you for being there for Chris, Denise and Emma!!

Ok.. choking back my tears here ( I am a very very emotional person btw.. I can cry at the drop of a hat).

Amy is sitting with me and wants to "type somefing" so here it is:

uytrewqazxcdcvbnmmjhgf ghytr
It says "please come to my bday party so you can come" That is exactly what she said.

I will be making my very first EVER Lasagna tonight. I have been married for almost 9 years and I have never made one before. So wish me luck.

I think it's great that you read our diabetes blogs to get a better understanding for what Chris and Denise are going through. You're a good sister :)

Good luck with the lasagna! I made one once and it came out watery as hell, so I have no advice to give (maybe get, but definitely not give).

I will let you know how it turns out.

I am making lasagna tonight too. Sometimes it turns out sometimes it doesn't. I haven't made it in a long time. The advantage is, even if it doesn't turn out, you can always call it "Big Noodle Spaghetti".

Mmmm, lasagna. TCBIM is going away in February (to SC, the bastid) and I was thinking today that the only good thing about him being gone is that I'll get to make lasagna. He doesn't like it, the freak.

Make sure you drain the ground meat well. If you're using diced tomatoes, drain them, too.

Thanks for reading the D blogs. I don't write much about it because for us, it's kind of old hat and O is on a pretty even keel most of the time. I like Chris's blog, although it does make me sad to know of another kid diagnosed with this damned disease. My daughter was about the same age as his when she was dxd.

Jenn,
That is awesome. Thanks for that post. That means so much to us that you not only read my blog but you read the other blogs that i read. Or i should say friends.
Even though you do not know what it is like living with Diabetes (either do i) but you do have your own thing of being an Auntie with a neice that has diabetes. That in itself can be a challenge. In the sense where you feel you may not know what to say to make us feel better or you might not know what information is relative to us. Things like that.
But you sure do have a good grasp of the scale of this disease.
I thought it was awesome when Jarret asked to talk to me on the phone to ask queations about emma and her diabetes.
The best part of that was he wanted to know if it hurt emma when she got a needle. He cares like you do.
Anyhow i am so proud of all the people on my blogroll and those who always take the time to comment and read my blog. They are awesome and i hope you always have things to talk about with them. They always take the time. They care. And they are real.
your the best "long distance auntie with a neice living with diabetes that is a below average baker" that we can ask for.
Thanks "Skata"

Eeeeg sloppy kiss?

My brother used to sit on me and punch one spot on my thigh over and over. I'd start laughing because I was too weak in pain to cry which would make him madder which would make him punch harder which would make me laugh harder.

It was a vicious cycle.
